Adopt-a-Day Fundraiser…Please prayerfully consider adopting a day for $450 or half a day for $255 here at First Lutheran Church to help with our mortgage and ministry.  You may make a donation in your name or as a memorial in honor of someone or honoring a special date in your families’ life.  As of June 26, with early gifts, memorials and donations, we have received $13,155 which is 26% of our $50,000 goal.  Let’s build on all the blessings God has given us.  We will celebrate with an indoor picnic and auction July 21 in the Fellowship Hall here at First Lutheran.  If you would like to participate, please contact the church office at 712-338-4514.

Baptism Class…The next Baptism Class will be Sunday, August 5 at 10:30am in the Conference room at First Lutheran.  These classes are held quarterly.  This class is required for a baptism.  Please contact the church office at or 712-338-4514 to register.

Bishop’s Charity Golf Tournament…Wednesday, August 15 First Lutheran is hosting the Bishop’s Charity Golf Tournament at Okoboji View Golf Course starting at 9am with a shotgun start.  This is a 9 hole 4 person best shot tournament.  Cost is $50/player which includes golf, cart and lunch afterwards.  If you are interested in putting a team together, please contact the church office at 712-338-4514 or

We Need Your Help…There are so many ways to volunteer for the J-1 International Students. the First Lutheran Mission Team will be hosting Tuesday Night Summer Fun for the International visitors who are working around the lakes area. This Tuesday we will host a Meet and Greet. We are in need of Event Leaders, Event helpers, Boats for Boat Night, Cases of Water and Pop and donations to help make our Tuesday Night Events a success. Global Leadership Summit…The Global Leadership Summit is scheduled for August 9-10 at Good News Church in Okoboji. The Summit is simulcast live in HD. This is a great opportunity to grow your leadership skills; to network with leaders from our community; to hear inspiring, actionable world leaders share ideas. If you register by June 26 you will save up to $20 on your ticket to attend. Cost is $199 for an individual and $169 for a team of 10 or more. LifeLight Christian Music Festival- in Arnolds Park Friday, July 27…Jocelyn is seeking people age 16+ to join her in volunteering at LifeLight!
